Tx & Rx: Not compatible with the stock TRX4M transmitter and receiver. Your receiver must have a free channel so you can use a knob on the transmitter to control the winch servo separately.

Excellent strength... Had it for about a year now and still going strong. I wired the red and black power wires into a JST and connected it directly to a 2S battery out the back of the ESC's XT30 plug. Super fast and powerful. I use a snatch block to double the strength and half the speed.
Wow I am super impressed by this setup. I used it to pull my 1020 gram rig out of being wedged in rocks. That was no easy task but it handled it.
This crane set is pretty neat! It is very easy to install and it is a blast to use. I also like the pre mapped control function. When turning the nob on the T6, you can control the the speed at which the winch reels in or out.

I really wanted a wrench on my traxxas 4m defender. But this crane was te next best thing. I like the idea of wrenching a car on the big trailer behind the defender. But it took a while before I got it working. First off you need an extra controller, as there are no free knobs on the standard. Secondly, where to place the crane? As the standard electronics are on the same place where the crane must be mounted. Thirdly using the proposed pick-up body meant I had to remove my bumper incl. hook. I ended up buying the controler and taping the crane onto the trailer. This enabled me to use defender body, without to much adjustments to body or original idea. So A nice crane, but you need the think abput above details.

Does the winch only work with a knob to control it or will a switch with 3 positions(forward/stop/reverse) work too?
