INJORA IR60-10 Installation Tips for Axial SCX10 III
The INJORA IR60-10 hard body has become one of our most popular 1/10 crawler body options, and we've been excited to see so many unique builds shared by the community.
To help new builders achieve the best fit and avoid common installation issues, we've put together this guide covering chassis setup, helmet installation, magnetic mount alignment, and chassis recommendations.
1. SCX10 III Stock Chassis Setup
The IR60-10 body is compatible with most SCX10 III chassis. However, when installing the body on a stock SCX10 III chassis, the chassis rails may need to be adjusted before installation.
As shown in the images below, move the chassis rails to the recommended position. After adjustment, only half of the outer rail hole should remain visible.
This adjustment helps align the wheelbase correctly with the IR60-10 body and allows the body to sit in the proper position.

2. How to Install the Driver Helmets
The driver helmets included with the IR60-10 are designed to be installed using the supplied springs and screws.
Installation steps:
-
Use the included spring, washer and screw to secure it.
-
Tighten carefully until the helmet is held firmly in place.
-
Position the helmet in the mounting location. For users who frequently run rough trails or roll their trucks, a small amount of glue can be applied for additional security.

3. Front Magnetic Mount Alignment
Depending on your chassis configuration and wheelbase setup, the front magnetic mounts may require minor adjustment during installation.
If the magnets do not align properly:
-
Check the wheelbase setting.
-
Adjust the body position slightly forward or backward.
-
Recheck the magnetic mount location.
Small adjustments are usually enough to achieve proper alignment.

4. Choosing the Right Chassis
The IR60-10 body can be installed on most SCX10 III-based builds.
However, on a completely stock SCX10 III chassis, additional work may be required. Some users may need to remove, trim, or modify components such as the factory rock sliders or other interfering parts.
For builders looking for a cleaner installation process with fewer modifications, we recommend using the INJORA 1/10 LCG chassis such as INC-10F and INC-10C.
Benefits include:
-
Easier body installation
-
Better component clearance
-
Lower center of gravity
-
Cleaner overall build layout
If you're planning a dedicated IR60-10 build, the LCG chassis can significantly simplify the installation process.
Final Notes
The IR60-10 was designed to provide a realistic scale appearance while remaining compatible with a wide range of crawler platforms. A few small adjustments during installation can make a big difference in achieving the best fit and performance.
